Still loving MAC Face and Body Foundation, especially in the winter. Great hydration!!!!
So Femme !!!!
Femme Fetch: MAC 163 Flat Contour Brush
I am currently obsessing over this brush. I havent purchased it yet, but I am dying too. I honestly believe it is the ultimate contouring brush specifically for creams. The shape will create a strong line but the stiffness of the bristles will help blend the cream down. Not sure about this brush for powder contouring, but I am sure it’s fine. I think I would favor the NARS contouring brushes for powder.
Femme Fetch: MAC Paint Pot in Groundwork
I spoke about the amazing NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils a few post back and my ultimate base for oilier lids when using the pencils is the MAC Paint Pot in Groundwork.  The paint pots work so well with oily skin because of their thick cream formula, much more preferred to creamier lid primers.
NYX Eye Pencil Post
The paint pot in the shade groundwork is a favorite because of it’s versatility. The color is a taup-y beige, neutral tone which works great as a shadow on it’s own or the perfect base. I wear this the most when doing my own eye makeup and it is bullet proof, no creasing, ever!!!! I have heard of people using this paint pot as an under eye concealer for darker complexions and I am not sure if I can endorse that, but feel free to try it out.
All the Paint Pots are great but Groundwork is by far my favorite with Bare Study running a close second.
Almay Moisturizing Eye Makeup Remover Pads
I usually use the MAC Cleanse Off Oil to remove my makeup, especially bullet proof eyemakeup, but I have recently decided to work in more cost effective products. To be honest, I have been a makeup snob for years and only recently have I decided to loosen up a bit.
So the Almay Moisturizing Eye Makeup Remover Pads looked interesting and they were on sale, so why not. Now I am saying WHY. This stuff is not good at getting off mascara at all, like it sucks, plus the pads don’t have enough oil on them so you end up using like 3 or 4 if you have on some serious mascara and shadow.
Moisturizing? I really couldn’t tell any difference, I found myself scrubbing so hard and long with these slightly abrasive pads that I needed moisturizing after I used them. I really think I prefer buying my own remover and deciding the amount of product I put on a cotton ball and going in that way.
I only recommend this to the ladies who are not wearing heavy eye makeup or those that would like to waste their money, lol.
So NOT FEMME!!!!!
Maybe you had a different experience, tell me about it, what do u think?

Originally intended to do a foundation video, this is what it ended up turning into, lol. I think the makeup looks nice though. The Revlon Colorstay Quad, NARS Funny Face Lipstick and e.l.f. highlighting powder worked out well, amongst other products.

Totally love the song “My Jamaican Guy” by Grace Jones!!!!

MAC Mastering Mascara

I am big on using different mascaras for  a full on “femme” effect. I also love the use of liner in small strokes on the bottom lash line for more drama.

Zoom Fast Black Lash and Haute and Naughty are the best mascaras from MAC for a full on drag, Kim Kardashian look.

A look back at Miss RuPaul for MAC Viva Glam. The Viva Glam Campaign started back in 1994 to help raise money and awareness to fight against HIV. Rupaul was obviously the most femme-tastic and glamorous choice to head up the first campaign.

So remember before Gaga, Pam Anderson, Dita, and Nicki there was Rupaul!!!!

Wayne Goss- Do MAC Foundations Cause Breakouts?

I have used tons and tons of MAC product and never had a distinct reaction to anything from the line, but I know others feel differently. I agree with Wayne’s explanation in the video.

What has been your experience with MAC products?

MAC Cosmetics: Applying False Lashes

Lash application is one of the most irritating things to learn and master, but nothing looks more amazing than a pair of stellar giraffe lashes. I have a love/hate relationship with lashes, primarily because they can be really bitchy sometimes. They get messy, sticky and sometimes I am redoing them at least 3 times before I am satisfied. Maybe I’m a too much of a perfectionist.

I will admit that sometimes MAC’s lashes can be a bit expensive considering you can get the same effect with drugstore lashes, but the selection at MAC is pretty awesome. Us femme divas with hooded, small, or asian eyes should definitely utilize lashes if we want a more bright-eyed look.

NARS Eyeshadow Duo- Scorching Sun

So I got this duo given to me at a counter randomly for free and I honestly didn’t use it before I started this blog a few months ago. But in the spirit of trying to build new looks, I tried it out and fell in love. I am starting to find ways to incorporate this shade way more than I need to.

The left side of the duo is used in the pics above mixed with NARS’ Bengali eyeshadow in the crease and MAC’s Vanilla Pure Pigment below the brow. I find that the right side can work as a warm bronzer/cheek highlight for deep skin tones. The left side works great for warming the lid up softly(i mean like a really light hand with a blending brush,no packing)for a cat eye or bold eyeliner look, try it out. Amazing duo to have for all people, but especially ethnic skin.

Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse

I recently purchased some of this stuff for like 8 bucks and thought it couldn’t hurt to try it. I ended up being pleasantly surprised, the stuff is decent. The biggest drawback though is the lack of color selection, I am dark 3, which is as dark as it goes.

The positives:

  • Easy application(applied with hands or wet sponge)
  • Long wearing
  • Truly Matte, light finish

The negative is really that the shade selection is poor. Considering the price range and what the product promises, it is worth the money. I usually wear NARS and MAC exclusively, but I might consider repurchasing this stuff. I really believe this foundation would work for every day wear, it is like medium in terms of coverage.

A few posts back, I posted myself wearing verve lipstick and the foundation I am actually wearing is the Dream Matte Mousse Foundation, doesn’t it look natural. Take a peek.

Currently on a brow kick!!! I think so many people neglect the trasformative effect that filling in brows has!!!!

  • Tame brows with appropriate colored brow gel.
  • Use feather strokes to create a more defined and structured shape with a pencil or brush.
  • Don’t be too heavy handed on the beginning part of the brow closest to the nose, focus more on the arch and wing end.

Trust me, filling in the brows will create a structure to your face that may have you feeling no need for tons of other eye products!!!!!

FEMME-Tastic Brow Products:

  • Girl Boy Brow Gel- MAC Cosmetics
  • Show Off Brow Gel-MAC Cosmetics
  • Eyebrow Pencil in Stud, Spiked, and Lingering by MAC Cosmetics
  • Eyeliner in Mambo by NARS Cosmetics
  • Coconut Grove and Bengali Eye shadows BY NARS
