Femme Boy Goes Shopping (Beauty + Fashion Haul)
Stay up to date on all things Femme Boy!!!
Femme Fetch: Iman Second to None Stick Foundation Currently loving my Iman Stick Foundation!!!! Totally believing in the power of more cream based foundations thanks to Bobbi Brown, MAC, and now Iman. This stick is great for all skin types and a number of skin tones. Iman Cosmetics isn’t just for “black” femmes it’s for a myriad of people looking to get better coverage options. The Iman Second to None Stick Foundation dries down to a velvet matte finish, which I love. If Iman Cosmetics can do anything it is definitely coverage and foundation. Will be picking up the their BB Cream soon for sure. So Femme!!!!
Femme Fetch: Alterna Bamboo Shine Luminous Shine Mist For having such a little amount of hair I manage to hoard a good amount of hair products and most don’t do much to impress me really. But I have to say that the Bamboo Shine Mist is my favorite hair product right now. I love it primarily for the light weight feel, non-greasy shine, and the fragrance. The stuff smells so amazing, like I can’t get over it. The Bamboo Shine product line is Eco- Friendly, which is great. The biggest drawback is the entire line seems a bit overpriced, but the products are solid none the less. So Femme!!!!
You’ll be MIne - The Pierces
The You and I album by the Pierces is definitely becoming my salvation right now. Loving the vocals and melodies throughout the entire album. Every femme goddess needs to freshen up their soul as well as their look from time to time.
So Femme!!!!
Femme Fetch: Ben Nye Banana Powder and Mojave Contour Wheel Not sure why I haven’t tried the Ben Nye Banana Powder yet, but excited to finally see what all the fuss is about. I swatched a number of the luxury powders in different shades and the banana powder seemed to work best despite it’s distinct difference from my skintone. I find this powder to be awesome and oh so femme for setting your highlight. Ben Nye’s Mojave Contour Wheel was a great find for the price of $14 USD alone. Great shades for ethnic skin and I suggest everyone look into a contour wheel that corresponds with your skintone no matter what it is. The shades have great color pay off and blend well. Look for an updated foundation video with contouring and highlighting within the next week. Super excited, hope you are too. Be Bold, Be Femme!!!
NARS Cosmetics: Edie Sedgewick- Inspired Makeup Look
Really like this look using NARS makeup, but I have to be honest in saying don’t waste your money on the Eyeliner Stylos. I love NARS more than anyone else in the world, but the Eyeliner Stylos are so dry and spotty, worst liquid eyeliner I have ever tried.
On a positive note, I say really look into the lipsticks offered at NARS. They receive a lot of press for the multiples, blushes, and their foundations, but the lip shades are to die for.
SO FEMME!!!
steven-meisel: Vogue Italia (Jul. 2008) - All Black Issue - Champagne Furs by Steven Meisel with Toccara Jones Still digging this shot of MIss Toccara, one of the few ANTM girls that I really fell in love with. This is how I envision my myself to look when I get all done up, not sure if I do though, lol. So Femme!!!!!
Femme Fetch: NYX Cosmetics Soft Matte Lip Cream Totally love products that deliver amazing results in non-traditional ways. The NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream delivers nice color pay off with a soft, velvety matte finish. I favor these lip creams over a matte lipstick because of the effortless application. This stuff applies a bit moist but dries down leaving lips matte but not dry. Love, love, love the NYX Lip Creams. So Femme!!!
Makeup Submission: Ombre eye done with Sugarpill and Tokidoki shadows :)

Femme Boy: Very nice work, girlie!!!! Nice blending at crease and I love the sharp edge from corner of eye to brow, I feel like it makes eye makeup look very clean and striking. Think Grace Jones, makeup with strong defined lines.
Femme Boy Gives Quick Tips
Here is my video entry for the Allure Beauty Blogger Contest back in May. It hasn’t seen the light of day, so I thought I would share it with my fierce femme followers. I lost the contest but this video is one of my best, the contest really pushed me to a new level.
Femme Fetch: Bare Escentuals Flawless Definition Mascara
Thanks to a care package from Planet Beauty. com, I got to try out the Bare Escentuals Flawless Definition Mascara. I honestly would have never tried this mascara otherwise, but I was pleasantly suprised. I am a sucker for packaging and glamourous advertising which Bare Escentuals isn’t necessarily known for. But all that matters at the end of the day is the results and this mascara delivers. This is an ideal mascara for defined and separated lashes. Can be worn for a natural everyday look best, but drama can be achieved with a few extra coats.
Totally gagging on everything about these photos. Loving the contour and the lashes. I am starting believe a face isn’t truly made up until you throw on the falsies.
SO FEMME!!!!
