Femme Fetch: Ben Nye Banana Powder and Mojave Contour Wheel Not sure why I haven’t tried the Ben Nye Banana Powder yet, but excited to finally see what all the fuss is about. I swatched a number of the luxury powders in different shades and the banana powder seemed to work best despite it’s distinct difference from my skintone. I find this powder to be awesome and oh so femme for setting your highlight. Ben Nye’s Mojave Contour Wheel was a great find for the price of $14 USD alone. Great shades for ethnic skin and I suggest everyone look into a contour wheel that corresponds with your skintone no matter what it is. The shades have great color pay off and blend well. Look for an updated foundation video with contouring and highlighting within the next week. Super excited, hope you are too. Be Bold, Be Femme!!!
Lipgloss as a Highlight
I love this tip that I recently discovered. Using lipgloss as a highlight under the brow and on the cheekbone is pretty amazing and something I would have never thought of. Try it Out!!!!

First off, thanks for the follow and the support, I really appreciate it!!!! I truly believe that dark skin is a gift because we can pull off some looks that so many others can’t. I do understand feeling limited, years ago when i first got into makeup I felt lost and it seemed like nobody could help me pull off all the hot looks I wanted. Well I am happy to pass some knowledge to a sexy deep colored girl!!!!!
I believe highlighting is one of the things that helps eyes pop the most. My eyes are a bit smaller then I would like so I understand. I use MAC Pure Pigment in Vanilla right in the inner corner of my eye by the nose, it will work wonders. Lining the top lid with a black eyeliner, but not the bottom and using an amazing mascara works also. MAC’s Haute and Naughty will give you dramatic Kim Kardashian Lashes or you could try some of Maybelline’s mascaras if you are hard up for cash. I also say keep eyebrows filled in and neat, this creates a good structure to the face.

- Dolce Vita by NARS
- Taj Mahal by NARS
- Palm Beach Multiple by Nars(this stuff is great as a bronzer and highlighter)
- G Spot Multiple by NARS
- Love Joy Mineralize Blush by MAC
- Raisin Powder Blush by MAC
- Exhibit A by NARS (very intense so apply lightly, but is so hot when done right)
I like to take a cream bronzer or deep bronze tone and place it on the cheek bones and then take powder blush and place it on top, don’t be too heavy handed though. Trust me, this will look so amazing!!!!
Palm Beach is the best cream bronze shade, and you can almost place any color on top and it will warm the skin. Just remember that you want the skin to look warm, not rosy, because our cheeks don’t get rosy, it will look unnatural.
