Femme Fetch: NYX Cosmetics Soft Matte Lip Cream Totally love products that deliver amazing results in non-traditional ways. The NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream delivers nice color pay off with a soft, velvety matte finish. I favor these lip creams over a matte lipstick because of the effortless application. This stuff applies a bit moist but dries down leaving lips matte but not dry. Love, love, love the NYX Lip Creams. So Femme!!!
Femme Fetch: Wet n’ Wild Lipsticks I am a true makeup snob and I was extremely skeptical of anything Wet n’ Wild minus the solid liquid liner I tried years ago. So I recently gave in and purchased one of the Wet n’ Wild Mega Last Matte Lipsticks along with the Silk Finish Lipstick for a grand total $3.26. I must say I was impressed, the matte lipstick has strong color payoff with a decent wear time especially considering the price point. Is anyone else as femininely fixated on Wet n’ Wild as I am?
Covergirl Blast Flipstick Lip Duo Purchased one of the new flipstick lip duos from Covergirl the other day in the shade Snap. One side is a golden beige while the other is more of a coral based pink shade. The positive with this is it glides on smooth and has decent color payoff. I honestly felt like this concept was a good idea but the particular shade I got was unimpressive overall. I feel like had I purchased a duo with a bolder color I would have been more satisfied. Covergirl promotes the duos as having rich bold color on one end and a shimmery shade on the other. The duo I have is sheer and shimmery on both ends, nothing really intense or bold on either end. I liked the product but i wasn’t impressed. If it’s on sale or you’re given one, then work it. Don’t go out of your way on this one. Go by a Revlon Lip Butter instead. What are your feelings about the Covergirl Blast Flipstick Lip Duos?
MADONNA-FEMME GODDESS- JUSTIFY MY LOVE MAKEUP I am currently super excited about the leak of the new Madonna single, “Give Me All Your Love”. So I decided to do a quick fun makeup look based on one of my favorite Madonna videos, Justify My Love. This look to me is all about being sultry and sexy and owning all off your FEMME power. Madonna is the epitome of sex appeal, controlling your destiny, and being boldly ambitious. So how do you achieve this FEMME-tastic look? The focus here is the brows and the eyes before anything else. After you apply foundation and concealer in the right places, you can get to the details of this particular look. Brows: Brush brows upward, fill in with a pencil or powder that is slightly lighter than your actual hair color. You want bold but not scary.Be sure to exaggerate the length of the brow a little. Eyes: Prime the lids with lid primer or simply use concealer. Use a deep shade varying from nice chocolates, navys, or even purples on the lid. Following up with a black to create extreme depth in the crease and on the outer corner of the eye. Below the brow use a highlight( personal fave: Vanilla pure pigment from MAC). Take black liquid eyeliner and create a quick precise line. Follow up with mascara, heavy and dark. Line the lower lash line with pencil eyeliner, heavier towards the outer edge. Cheeks:Take powder or cream a few shades darker than your skin and place in the hollows of the cheek to create a contour. You may use the Vanila Pure Pigment by MAC here right below the eyes and directly on the cheekbones for extra highlight, not necessary though. Then take a warm rosy blush place it right on the apples and sweep out towards the hairline. Lips: Fill in lips with a warm shade or slightly natural color. Line with a slightly darker color. Blot excess color off and reapply the lipstick and lip liner. Take a neutral beige gloss and aplly over the lips. Remember to use transculent powder all over and spray with miracle product, MAC Fix +. MakeUp Must Have: MAMBO Eyeliner by NARS Cosmetics This eyeliner is used primarily as a lip liner and works wonders in balancing out an extremely light colored lipstick or gloss. I believe it is an essential and must have especially for anyone of color. Described as a deep chocolate, i think it may also have slight burgundy feel to it that is perfect, a true brown would wash some girls out and be too plain and uneventful for others. Favorite MAMBO Couplings: MAMBO and Blonde Venus(lipstick) by NARS MAMBO and Porte Vecchio (lipstick) by NARS MAMBO and Dolce Vita (lipgloss) by NARS MAMBO and Sandpiper (lipgloss) by NARS - MAMBO and Spirit(lipstick) byMAC The ultimate nude lip for women of color would have to be MAMBO with Blonde Venus and Sandpiper, try it and you will absolutely love it, it’s FEMME-tasic!!! To get the effect seen above on Naomi Campbell try MAMBO and Porte Vecchio and a sheer gloss for a little extra shine.
Femme Fetch: Beauty For Real Lip Gloss
Totally loving this lipgloss and have been for the past few months. Super moisturizing, good color pay off, nice range of shades, and mirror with light built into the gloss. I am kinda obsessed. Look out for a video review soon with the lip gloss and cream cheek tint.

NARS Cosmetics Sheer Lipstick in Beautiful Liar
I have recommended this lipstick so much recently and I am kinda obsessed with this shade. It’s a nice shimmery coral, perfect for almost all skintones. I really love the sheer lipsticks from NARS because they wear so amazing in the day time, not too intense. Try pairing this shade with the NARS lipgloss in Sandpiper(another one of my favs) or the Victoria’s Secret Brilliant Lip Shine in Flaunt. The blending of the beige and coral is flawless.

Lipgloss as a Highlight
I love this tip that I recently discovered. Using lipgloss as a highlight under the brow and on the cheekbone is pretty amazing and something I would have never thought of. Try it Out!!!!
MUST HAVE MAKEUP: NARS LIP GLOSS
I have to say that I am obsessed with all things NARS but the lip gloss holds a special place in my heart. I don’t think I have owned any lip gloss that has just worked perfectly for me. The formula is not too sticky, last a good amount of time, and has a good amount of color impact for a gloss. I love it. Paired with one of the NARS lip liners or lipsticks and you have magic. My day to day makeup includes Mambo, an eyeliner used on my lips that i raved about in a previous post and Sandpiper a sheer beige colored gloss.
I am pictured above( without makeup so don’t judge) with my two favorite shades, Dolce Vita and Sandpiper. Other shades to look into would be Pillow Talk, Orgasm, Super Vixen, Revolt, and Turkish Delight which is great for a Kim Kardashian look.A hot BOLD and FEMME makeup look always includes a killer lip gloss, so slather it on ladies!!!!
